Prince Turki Al-Faisal received his undergraduate degree at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Prince Turki was appointed an Advisor in the Royal Court in 1973. From 1977 to 2001, he served as the Director General of the General Intelligence Directorate (GID), the Kingdom’s main foreign intelligence service. In 2002, he was appointed Ambassador to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdulaziz. In 2005, Prince Turki was appointed Ambassador to the United States on July 20, 2005. He served as Ambassador to the United States until 2007.
